| Horsey End of Season Cruise 2008 |
For Pollywog, Cordon Rouge, Amaryllis, Mischief and Solace the cruise started on the Friday evening. This Cruise has proved to be the best attended of EACC's events in recent years and this year was to to prove no exception with 16 boats and well over 40 people booked in by the middle of the preceeding week. As the sun set the temerature dropped dramatically and we ajourned to the pub for a meal. After a very cold night we woke to a brilliant sunny morning. With the water level very high most setting off before the 10am meeting time in order to get through Potter Bridge as close to low water as possible.

Well what a fantastic weekend!
Although I have to admit, as we headed towards the weekend I began to wonder if it was a good idea to go the Autumn Regatta.
We had a few pre-regatta problems, the safety boat keys were not where we would want them, but Ian sorted that for us (mental note must get the spare sets sorted out), and then the OOD made some lame excuse that he may be chasing his lost baggage (KLM I believe took his luggage on a slight deviation on his way home). You will be pleased to learn that Roger did get his underwear and razor in time to present himself on the line!
