A MESSAGE FROM YOUR SKIPPER FOR 2010

Hi Folks,

When we were cruising the French canals during the Summer of 08 I received an email from Paul Stevens asking how I felt about being Mate and then Skipper after Jimmy.  Thought it was a joke, had a good laugh, didn’t bother replying!

That seems a few months ago – certainly not 18 months but here we are…

I have just been reading the accounts on the website of last year’s Southern Rivers Cruise, how nice to be taken back to that super week when the weather was kind to us, the sailing fantastic and the company so amicable.    It’s January, outside all is white, a blizzard.

With the first Committee Meeting gone I feel I have support from a great group and I know dear friends who were founder members of EACC and no longer with us would be delighted to see the club prospering so. 

Spring will be here in no time and we will rush to get the boat back in the water.  Hopefully we will have another season of great sailing.
