WINTER WALK 2024

Sunday 11th February 2024, at 10 am

Leader: Jimmy James

EACC (flexible) Winter Walk

Will start and finish at the Broads Authority car park Long Road Neatishead (behind the old Barton Angler Inn map ref TG 351207).

After the walk there will be the opportunity, for those who wish to, to adjourn to the White Horse PH at Neatishead for lunch (booked for 1300hrs).

There is parking at the pub, but if we fill this there is additional parking outside the New Victory village Hall 88 Street Hill (diagonally opposite the front of the pub).

The walk will be flexible, in that not only will there be options for shortened routes, but also some of the originally planned routes may need to be amended as currently full diving equipment is required to make good passage!

Whatever route is taken on the day, even if just on roads please, please make sure that you have good waterproof footwear, as the going is currently considered wet and muddy.

It is planned to meet at the BA car park at 1000hrs and set off walking at about 1030hrs.

There is no planned ‘pop up’ café on this walk so it is suggested that perhaps you bring your own flask, and some cake (to share?) to keep you going until lunch.

LUNCH

The White Horse have undertaken to cater for us all simultaneously, but in order for them to do this

we have only the Sunday Roast menu to choose from

The Veggie options are:

Carrot & Spiced Marmalade Wellington, or Sweet Potato & Chickpea Loaf.

(The loaf is gluten free but the wellington is not).

There is a pudding menu which we can choose from on the day.

Well behaved dog walkers (and their dogs) are welcome, on the walk, and in the pub!

I need to know names and menu choices by Sunday 28 January, but the sooner the better as this event in the past has proved popular and there is a limit to the numbers the pub can accept.

Please also advise if you will be bringing a dog to the pub so as to assist with their seating plan.

Please note at the time of writing the toilets at our start and finish point are o.o.o and locked.
