EAAA Charity 1

EACC Charity Fund raising

effort for 2023

It was a great pleasure to present East Anglian Air Ambulance with a cheque donation from EACC members of £500 as a result of our  2023 fund raising efforts.

Huge thanks to all those who organised fund raising events and to those who contributed  - the EAAA were delighted to receive our donation. Thanks to Tom Moore who organised our visit and who enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane to when he was one of the doctors on board.

It was a day of snow showers last Thursday (18 Jan), when Tom and I visited their premises at Helimed House, Norwich Airport which opened in 2019.

The premises are impressive as is the whole operation. It is a multi-function facility serving as a home for charity ground staff and as a specialist site, enabling EAAA’s life-saving service to operate 24/7 by air and road. It also includes state-of-the-art training facilities for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) clinicians, such as an immersive, simulation suite, and provides adequate rest and welfare facilities required for a 24/7 life-saving operation.

EACC Charity Fund raising for 2024

EACC currently support three charities and for 2024 our focus will be NANSA.

Nansa has grown to provide a far wider range of specialist provision, for people of all ages living with, or caring for others with, special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). In addition, Nansa also facilitates a range of projects that promote inclusion, advocacy, participation, accessibility, and awareness of/for not only those with SEND, but a wider community of neurologically diverse individuals, who may feel excluded, marginalised, or unsupported because of social, behavioural, and/or developmental differences.

I hope you will all give generously.

We are still seeking a new charity co-ordinator for 2024. Please contact the skipper if you are willing to volunteer.
