Financial Donors To The EACC Clubhouse

 

At the AGM in December 2023 the EACC members approved the proposal to push ahead with planning and building the clubhouse, and a sub-committee was formed to drive the project forward. The sub-committee worked tirelessly to understand the art of the possible and as a consequence had to submit a revision to the planning application, find suitable methods of construction, source suppliers, request quotes and ultimately manage the build from beginning to end.

The construction of the clubhouse was only made possible due to the very kind financial backing of Tom Moore, and we are hugely grateful for all his support throughout the build, as well as the support of David Thompson who together have made the project possible.

In order to complete the build a budget of £40,000 was required to fund the project, and this has been funded through a grant of £30,000 with the remainder to come from generous donations by members and by fundraising.

The club was able to qualify for a grant as the clubhouse was recognised as a community project by NNDC, and this North Norfolk Rural Business and Community project was part-funded by the UK Government through the Rural England Prosperity Fund and was supported by North Norfolk District Council and delivered in Partnership with Norfolk County Council

With the remaining £10,000 to raise through its membership, EACC are currently halfway there and therefore have another £5,000 to raise in order to have fully funded the project.
