PROPOSED VISIT TO THE GREAT YARMOUTH HIPPODROME THEATRE
CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR CIRCUS AND WATER SHOW

Wednesday 17th December 2.30pm

We know its rather early to think about Christmas, but Carolyn (Moon Daisy) and Ruth (Evergreen), are organising a trip to the Hippodrome Theatre at Great Yarmouth for their Christmas Spectacular Circus and Water show.

This is just the thing to get you in the mood for the festive season and is a superb show, full of fun, dancing, acrobatics, trapeze artists, magic, comedy and much, much more.

They even flood the circus ring with water for yet more entertainment and synchronised swimming.

If you’ve never been to the Hippodrome before, this is a real treat. The building itself is full of character and is the most amazing place for a Christmas Spectacular.

The date will be Wednesday 17th December 2.30pm Matinee performance, followed by fish and chips at the White Swan, Gt Yarmouth for those who would like to eat after the show.

Tickets will be roughly £30 per person depending on where we are able to book seats.

If you would like to go, please email Carolyn

At the moment we are asking for expressions of interest with a closing date of August 31st. Once we know numbers attending we will collect payment of £30 per person and will then book tickets.

We may need to adjust the exact amount depending on the price of the individual seats.

Please also indicate if you would like to eat at the White Swan. Payment for the meal will be made on the day.

Tickets for the show are already selling so please let us know as soon as possible and at the latest August 31st so we can be sure of booking tickets.

EACC / YSC Joint Social 2025

Saturday, 18th January 2025, 6.00 for 7.00pm

at Hollywood Bowl and Queen of Iceni Wetherspoons

The mince pies aren't even finished yet and we're already thinking about the first EACC event for 2025! We start the year with the now traditional joint social with our friends at the Yare Sailing Club.  To be held on Saturday 18 January, this year we are planning to go bowling at the Hollywood Bowl at Norwich Riverside, followed by a meal and drinks at the cost-friendly Queen of Iceni Wetherspoons, (Menu Here) which is close to the bowling alley. These are new activities for both clubs, but tick the typical New Year resolutions boxes of 'get more exercise', learn 'new skills' and 'try not to overspend (except on the boat)'. The bowling will start at 6pm and we will play two games before heading to the pub at around 7.30 - 8pm.

There is parking at Norwich Riverside, or you could come by train. The cost for the bowling is £7.20 for Seniors and £10.80 for Adults. The cost of the meal will depend on what you have, but Wetherspoons is very reasonably priced and good value. You can come to either part of the evening or both, but the important thing is that you come!

We need to give numbers to the Hollywood Bowl and pre-book a big table at 'Spoons, so if you are interested in coming This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 4 January 2025. Any questions, let me know and I will try to help. Never bowled before? Don't worry about it - it's not hard or even typically dangerous and I'm rubbish at it, so you won't be the worst :)
